Host Odisha thrashed Jharkhand by nine wickets on the third and last day of their East Zone Vijay Merchant Trophy under-16 cricket match at Bidanasi ground here today. Four players put up impressive performance in the Odisha win, which fetched the home team six points. Among them, Sanjay Das bagged two wickets in the first innings, five in the second and scored 43 runs. Kushal Patel claimed three wickets in the first innings and hit a half-century. Shubham Nayak picked up three wickets in each innings, while Amrit Khatua top scored with 61 in the first innings.
